Automobile technology has made significant advances in the area of security, satellite location, intelligent braking systems, and others in their design. But lately, manufacturers have tried to add to their products the ability (albeit limited) to mobilize themselves, either to park or to assist the driver in the event of loss of control or detection of obstacles.

Next, I will name you some of the most recent advances in vehicles with automatic driving capabilities.

Ford Motors: Parking Assist System and Collision PreventionAlthough several Ford models already include a system that controlled the steering of the vehicle while trying to park in a horizontal parking space, the new generation now controls the accelerator and brake. With GPS function, it also takes the vehicle out of the parking lot and drives it into traffic.

While the vehicle is moving, the S-Max feature automatically activates the brakes in the event of a possible collision.

Mercedes-Benz: Cruise control and dam assistanceThis manufacturer is launching a semi-automatic driving technology. Among its main features is the computer-assisted control during driving in hours of high traffic and low speed. Additionally, a cruise control, automatically changes speed and lane position, for this it is based on GPS technology.

BMW: Self-directed vehicleThis is in Prototype stage, this technology is called CDC (ConnectedDrive Concept) and was tested in Germany, with the vehicle on the road in normal traffic and completely self-driving. BMW thinks that this type of technology would be available in about 10 or 15 years.
